The Brief History : Army Military Bagpiper Band India
The Kings Bagpiper band Drums was established on the May, 2012 and bag piper band and drums performed at Ring Ceremony at Raj Vilas Jaipur. The original band consisted of four pipers and two drummers – all from the Jaipur area. Over the next year, the band slowly grew, becoming involved in a variety of on-campus events, including freshman convocation, club day and several other events. As the band developed, more individuals joined, and both dedicated students and area residents became involved on a weekly basis.
By October of 1999, The Kings Bagpiper band Drums boasted nearly twenty members some from as far away as Punjab, and some as close as beautiful Rajasthan.
During 2000, the band participated in eleven events. Included in this mix were: a variety of parades for GanTantra diwas Parade, Independence Day Celebration, 15 August Celebration Parade Performance, Corporate Events, Mehandi, Sangeet, Reception, College Festivals, Road Shows, Retirement Function, Golf Tournaments, Birthdays, and many more events and Grand Illumination parades.

Our Goal:
The primary goal of The Kings Bagpiper band Drums is to promote the performing, learning and mastery of The Great Highland Bagpipe and traditional pipe band drumming. Associated with this is the ability to encourage students, staff and alumni of the University to become band members, and draw new students with established piping and drumming skills to the University and band. The Kings Bagpiper band Drums also takes great pride in adding a unique touch to a variety of University events and private functions. Affiliation with the University is not a requirement for membership into the Kings Bagpiper band Drums. Anyone with piping and/or drumming skills who is serious about joining the band is encouraged to attend band practices. New members are accepted throughout the year.
In 2021, the band will again be performing at a variety of events, and is hoping to perform at various functions throughout India.

The band practices throughout the year on most Tuesday evenings, at the main campus of The Kings Bagpiper band Drums. The band currently wears kilts made of the newly created “bagpiper band, along with traditional Scottish attire. Membership into the band qualifies participants for a wide range of benefits, including uniforms, supplies, small stipends for performances, and the pride of being involved in a thrilling promotion of the Scottish arts in India.
