Many of the band’s members are active-duty or retired military, and the band maintains a strong allegiance to the Armed Forces. It performs every year at the Corps Birthday and was honored to play at the christening of the Indian guy and the 2003 homecoming of the Indian celebration.

The band competes at the Grade 4 level in the Pipe Band performances. It finished the 2002 season ranked 10th out of 55 Grade 1 bands, making it the highest ranked pipe band among all bagpipers
The band was formed in 1975 by Gurpreet Guri but was short-lived. Raman Preet Singh re-formed the band several years later and served as Pipe Major for nearly 15 years. Subsequent Pipe Majors have included Jasleen Preet Singh and diljeet Preet Singh, who took over in 2002. Gurpreet has served as Drum Major since 1987. The band practices from 7 to 9 p.m. every Wednesday at Indian Gorund in Jaipur. Paid lessons are offered to pipers and drummers of all ages and skill levels from 6 to 7 p.m. every Wednesday.
The band is a commercial organization; its expenses are covered by charitable donations and income received from performances.
